This conversation sets a model for the future of collaborative humanities research, as part of which the study of assisted dying and how the arts have sought to mediate it, is understood as hinging on a specific understanding of time and agency in the twentieth and twenty-first century.
Anna Elsner is in conversation with Helga Nowotny, former president of the ERC and one of its founding members. Nowotny is also emerita professor of science and technology studies (ETH) and the author of two visionary studies on time (Eigenzeit, 1989 and Eigenzeit Revisted, 2019)
