Assisted Lab Research Meeting with guest speaker Emiliano Guaraldo 

The latest Assisted Lab Research Meeting featured guest speaker Emiliano Guaraldo, whose presentation explored the intersections of ecocriticism, narratology, and visual culture. Focusing on ecological catastrophes in Italy, the talk addressed topics such as cognitive injustices, toxic events, and the role of Italian corporations in shaping environmental narratives. Particular attention was given to material ecocriticism and the narrative dimensions through which environmental crises are represented and understood in contemporary culture. This research meeting is part of an ongoing series of collaborations between the Lab and St Gallen's Chair of Italian Studies and Environmental Humanities.
