Scientific Exchanges Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Alexander Meienberger has been awarded a Scientific Exchanges Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). From July to October 2026, he will spend four months as a visiting researcher at Södertörn University in Stockholm, where he will work on the project: “From Silence to Screen: HIV/AIDS in Russian Literature, Cinema, and Theater.” During this research stay, he will collaborate closely with Dr. Dmitrii Dorogov and colleagues from the Department of Gender Studies at Södertörn University. The project explores how HIV/AIDS has been represented across literature, film, and theater, and how cultural production shapes public understandings of illness, stigma, and care. This exchange highlights the importance of international and interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing complex cultural and social questions.
