Vanessa Rampton gave a lecture within ISOS Bielefeld’s series on Scientific Concepts

The talk interwove personal reflections about engaging with the concept of progress for some years with concrete instances of how the concept can lose previous meanings and acquire new ones. Using medicine as a case study, it showed how considerations of equity have consistently challenged definitions of medical progress that improve the health and lives of the few.
